Our Oklahoma Weekend

We had a busy weekend visiting both sides of our families in order to introduce Brianna to all her great-grandparents. We started with Justin's family where she met Justin's Granny and her husband, Bill (better known as G-pa). Amanda, Josh and their girls came to visit as well and I swear, if you didn't know differently, Brianna could be their sister instead of their cousin. There's definitely a family resemblance there! Here's a few pictures from that portion of the visit.

Saturday, we met my sister and her husband's family in Stillwater for a behind the scenes tour of the new football stadium there. Its amazing to say the least. I've never seen any of the facilities at other Big 12 schools but I can say that seeing what OSU now has to offer our players and recruits, I'm even more proud to be a Cowboy! Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate too well so I wasn't able to get any cute pictures of Brianna on the campus of her future alma mater. She wasn't too happy to have been in her car seat for that long either and let us know all about it. There's always next time though...

We spent the rest of the weekend at my parent's house where the spoilage continued. My mom had the crib I slept in all set up and ready for her, complete with an adorable bear from Build-a-Bear and some cuddly new blankets. Here's a few pictures of Brianna with my family.

My Aunt Kay and Uncle Tim

David (my dad), myself with Brianna, John Jr. and Ann(my dad's parents)
Four Generations of Medlin's
Janis (my mom), myself with Brianna, Wilma (my mother's mom)
Of course, Brianna needed a bath after all her adventures in Stillwater and my mom was more than happy to obliage. A nice warm bath seemed to ease some of the soreness she was feeling since she'd been in her car seat all day so everyone was happy. As always, she loved her bathtime, particularly because Grandma made it a bubble bath for her!
It was a long weekend to say the least but I'm glad everyone had a chance to see her. She did very well with all the traveling but it was a lot to ask of her. We were glad to get her home and back to a normal routine.

She's still doing great and sleeping till 7 am almost every night now. She'll occasionally wake up around 3am but most nights, she's still asleep when my alarm goes off. As for my actual return to work, I'm still in denial and trying my best not to think about it. She's going to daycare for two half days starting on Monday to work out any kinks in our new routine and the overall transition so we'll see how that goes. I'm having a hard time already thinking that someone else will be getting my baby's smiles during the day so we've been spending a lot of time cuddling and playing the last few days.

Here's one last picture from today...my flowers are starting to bloom and I wanted to see if I could get a cute picture of her with them in the background.Love you all,
Lucretia
